Wilson Solicitors is pleased to welcome Izzy Ellis and Olivia Whitehorn to our Public Law & Human Rights department.
Izzy is a public law, human rights and immigration solicitor who will work with Serena Fasso. She trained at Turpin Miller, qualified in March 2024, and has more than two years’ post-qualification experience. Before joining Wilsons, Izzy spent four years running a project representing women in prison facing deportation, many of whom had complex histories of serious offending, trafficking and mental ill health. Some of her cases reached the higher courts, including Molnar and Vargova v SSHD [2026] EWCA Civ 31.
Olivia is a public law and human rights solicitor who will work with Gimhani Eriyagolla. Olivia previously worked at Leigh Day, where she qualified in September 2023, and has three years’ post-qualification experience. Olivia specialises in migrants’ rights litigation and has acted in a wide range of public and private law matters, including claims concerning unlawful detention, asylum support, bail conditions, treatment in detention centres, and age-disputed young people. She also has experience of group claims and nationality cases, including matters before the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC).
