Ana Gonzalez, a partner in our immigration department, was at No 10 Downing Street this morning to deliver a petition to the Prime Minister. The petition was organised by Islington Labour Party and calls on the government to:
• Immediately guarantee the full rights of all EU citizens living in Islington
• Stop using our friends, family and neighbours as bargaining chips in the Brexit negotiations
• Guarantee that EU citizens’ rights will not be affected in the event of no Brexit deal being reached
Ana joined Cllr Richard Watts, Leader of Islington Council, and Cllr Kaya Comer-Schwartz, Executive Member for Community Development, to deliver the petition, along with EU nationals from Islington In Europe and INCAWilson Solicitors have been working alongside Islington Council and Islington In Europe to provide free information and advice to EU nationals living in Islington. We have delivered three information sessions at Islington Town Hall in conjunction with our friends at Wesley Gryk Solicitors.We are able to provide speakers for advice and information sessions for EU nationals across the country.
