Yesterday evening we joined Islington in Europe to give advice and information to a packed meeting of EU nationals at Islington Town Hall. The event was supported by Islington Council and introduced by councillor Kaya Comer Schwartz. 130 people heard presentations from a panel that included Matthew Davies, our Head of Immigration, and Ana González a partner with a special interest in EU migration. We were joined by Wesley Gryk and Alison Hunter from Wesley Gryk Solicitors. We answered many questions and hopefully simplified the process of applying for permanent residence and British nationality. Until the government completes its negotiation with the EU the position of EU nationals in the U.K. will remain uncertain. Steps can be taken now by many EU nationals who may already qualify for British citizenship.
