We are delighted to announce that Nusrat Uddin has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Children’s Rights Lawyer category in this year’s Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year awards, organised by the Legal Aid Practitioners Group. Nusrat has an interest in assisting vulnerable clients, including unaccompanied minors, trafficked individuals and those with mental health problems. She brings compensation claims against the state for failing its duties, as well as claims against traffickers who have exploited her clients. Nusrat's diligence and relentless pursuit of justice are a credit to her, and to Wilsons, and we all wish her the very best of luck. The winners will be announced by Baroness Helena Kennedy QC at a ceremony in central London on 10 July.
