The importance of #esg in the garments industry is becoming increasingly recognised. Within the last few weeks we've seen Patagonia give away it's company to fight the climate crisis, while Boohoo use a Kardashian as its sustainability ambassador. We've seen the US Customs and Border Patrol make it's first ban on an apparel brand for forced labour, as well as lift that same ban.
This week Nusrat and Katie S. wrote about issues in the UK's garment production and how the hostile environment, and the attitude towards the migrant communities affected, perpetuate the problems. Our authorities also need to recognise their role in the ongoing failures in #esg.
