Yordanka studied Law at Brunel University London, graduating in 2017. She completed the LPC with LLM at the University of Law with Distinction in 2020.
Yordanka joined Wilsons in 2018 as a Caseworker in the Family Law Department where she spent the first year of her training contract. She moved to the Public Law Department to complete her training contract and qualified as a solicitor in November 2021.
Yordanka undertakes work in all areas of public law, civil liberties, community care and human rights. She regularly works with vulnerable individuals such as victims of trafficking and modern slavery, victims of human rights abuses and torture, and detained migrants.
Yordanka was mentioned in The Independent news article in relation to her work concerning our potential legal challenge against the Government’s procurement of PPE gloves from Malaysian factories with history of labour abuses and exploitation of their workers.
Prior to joining Wilsons, Yordanka worked as a Parliamentary Caseworker for prominent Labour MPs David Lammy and Helen Hayes, assisting some of the most vulnerable in our society by making representations to central government departments, such as the Home Office and the Department for Work and Pensions, and local government on a wide range of issues including immigration, housing, homelessness, social security and other pressing political and social issues.
