Assistant Billing Manager
North London
Salary negotiable depending on experience
£30,500 plus, depending on experience
1 year fixed term contract, full time
This is an opportunity for a person with strong numeracy and technical skills. Previous experience working in billing is not essential - full training will be provided. You will be working closely with our Chief Operations Officer and Head of Costs to assist with managing the billing and the manage a costs team.

We are a leading human rights law firm. We have approximately 120 people working on two sites in London, with the Head Office in Tottenham, north London, where you will be based. We provide a progressive, friendly, dynamic and lively working environment.
The firm has a large legal aid practice in Public Law, Community Care, Family and Immigration.
The role
The role is for professional to be Assistant Billing Manager. This a crucial role in the firm. It has the potential for more responsibility as skills are acquired.

• Excellent spreadsheet and IT skills
• Time management and organisational skills
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Strong attention to detail
Job outline:
• Preparing and checking Legal Aid claims
• Maintaining billing records
• Troubleshooting matters with billing issues
• Completing and submitting claim amendment requests
• Dealing with queries from the firm’s fee earners and the billing team
• Manage and prepare LAA audits and sampling exercises
