The 5th Kay Everett Memorial Lecture

Date posted: 26 April 2022

Kay Everett

We are very pleased to announce that the 5th Kay Everett Memorial Lecture will take place on Tuesday 17th May 2022 at 5pm-6.30pm.

Kay was a partner at Wilson Solicitors who sadly died from cancer in 2016. The lecture is held each year in her memory.

We are excited that Professor Karen Engle of the University of Texas at Austin will deliver this year’s lecture with the title “Abolitionist Human Rights”.

Professor Engle is Minerva House Drysdale Regents Chair in Law and founder and co-director of the Bernard and Audre Rapaport Center for Human Rights and Justice.

Once again we are organising it with our colleagues from the School of Law at SOAS where Kay studied.

It will take place at the Brunei Gallery Lecture Theatre, Brunei Gallery, SOAS, Russell Square, London, WC1H 0XG

All are welcome, attendance is free, and there will be a drinks reception to follow.

For full details of the speaker and her topic, and to register to attend the event, please visit here.

We look forward to seeing you there.
