Gabriel studied for his Law LLB at Durham University, graduating in 2020 with First Class Honours and the Sullivan & Cromwell Prize. He completed the LLM Legal Practice Course at BPP University in London in 2021, obtaining the highest mark in his cohort for three out of his six modules.
Gabriel joined Wilsons as a Caseworker in the Public Law Team in August 2021.
Before joining Wilsons, Gabriel volunteered for Advocate, the Bar’s pro bono charity, as a casework volunteer. Whilst studying for his undergraduate degree, he volunteered at Rethink Mental Illness as a volunteer advocate. Gabriel has also had work experience in Singapore, working at the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme, a specialist criminal legal aid practice, as well as public interest litigation firms, where he assisted on matters involving novel points of constitutional law and the death penalty.
Gabriel has a deep passion for public law and writes a personal blog providing case notes and commentary on decisions of the Administrative Court. He also writes regularly for other academic blogs and law journals.
