Edward graduated in 2012 with a 2:1 in History from Essex University and obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Law in 2014.
Since 2015 Edward has practiced primarily in Family Law and qualified as a solicitor in January 2019.
Edward has many years’ experience working in both private and public family law and will obtain legal aid for eligible clients.
Edward represents parents in care proceedings, including client’s with learning difficulties, where the Local Authority cite issues such as substance abuse, sexual abuse and non-accidental injury. Edward also advises and attends with clients at Child Protection Conferences and Public Law Outline meetings.
Edward has experience in advocacy which includes representation at Court to obtain urgent protective Orders such as Injunctions and Occupation Orders and in disputes regarding child contact and residence.
Edward was recognised for his standard of work when named Trainee of the Year for 2017 – 2018 at his previous firm.
Edward has a commitment to access for justice and from 2013 to 2014 was a Project Leader for a pro bono clinic at Oxford County Court which provided free advice on all matters of Family Law. Edward and his colleagues received recognition for their pro bono work via the charity LawWorks as they were awarded the 2013 LawWorks National Pro Bono Centre Award.
